POTTSBORO, Texas (KXII) - A house near Pottsboro has been destroyed after catching fire early Tuesday morning.

The fire started around 3:30 a.m. at a home in the Cambridge Shores neighborhood and took multiple fire departments to put out.

The Locust Volunteer Fire Department says the home was an Airbnb rental with 10 guests inside when the fire started.

Firefighters say all the guests made it out of the house through bedroom windows after being woken up by a smoke alarm.

Locust firefighters say the fire is believed to have started from a fire stove pot left burning on the back deck after cooking smores.

The home is a total loss.
