PARIS, Texas (KXII) - Two Paris school districts have moved the first day of school up by two weeks.

The administrations at Chisum and Prairiland independent school districts decided Monday to move the start date for in-person classes to Aug. 24. Both districts originally planned on starting face-to-face learning in September.

Parents of students in Chisum ISD have until Aug. 7 to submit a Student Learning Commitment form, letting the district know if your child will attend school in person or online.

Parents of students in Prairiland ISD will have until Aug. 12 to register students for online learning at their home campus.

Anyone with questions about the changes is asked to contact school administration.
