DENISON, Texas (KXII) - There is now a curfew for public parks in the City of Denison, and violators could face a big fine.

Denison City Council voted Monday night to amend an ordinance, closing city parks between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.

If anyone is in any city park or facility during that time, they face a misdemeanor charge with a fine up to $500.

The park closing times do not apply to sanctioned athletic events, leagues or tournaments along with any activity permitted through the Parks and Recreation office.
