ARDMORE, Oklahoma (KXII) - Three fire trucks responded to a house fire on North East 4th Street in Ardmore at 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Four people were rescued from the home with minor burns and smoke inhalation injuries.

Ardmore Fire Department training officer Jason Woydziak said the department thinks the fire started in the back of the house.

“We believe the fire is accidental in nature,” Woydziak said. “They were doing some work in the back room and something caught on fire.”

The department does not believe there was anything suspicious about the fire.

Woydziak said there was about ten thousand dollars worth of damage.

“All in all, the important thing is everyone got out,” Woydziak said.

The fire was extinguished in ten minutes.
