Cooke County man sentenced for child pornography
JOHNSTON COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - A Cooke County man will serve at least four years in prison after taking pornographic pictures of a child while on a fishing trip in Johnston County, Ok.
Bobby Jerry Orrell, 81, pleaded guilty to one felony count of Procuring, Producing, Distributing, or Possessing Juvenile Pornography.
Orrell is sentenced to five years in prison and five years suspended. He is required to serve at least 85 percent of his time before being eligible for parole and will have to register as a sex offender.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says back in June 2018, Orrell took a juvenile on a fishing trip to a remote area on Mill Creek, northwest of Ravia.
The OSBI says during the trip, Orrell stripped naked and had the juvenile do the same. He then used a cell phone to take video and pictures of the juvenile.
The juvenile’s family reported the incident to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 7, 2018.
The Cooke County Sheriff’s Office arrested Orrell at his home in Muenster the next day.
