SILO, Okla. (KXII) - Silo Public Schools announced a classroom is in quarantine after a student tested positive for COVID-19.

Silo officials say the positive test came from an early childhood student. The class is quarantining for an unknown amount of time.

The school district says they are working with Bryan County health officials and will keep the public informed if any further changes are needed.

“Although we want normal for our students, the virus isn’t going anywhere and these situations are going to arise. Our kids have been off to a great start so far and we hope to have all students on campus as soon as possible,” said Silo Superintendent Kate McDonald in a written statement.

Any parents with questions are asked to call their building principal.
