SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - A Sherman teen has been taken to the hospital after being hit by a car while riding a bike Tuesday afternoon.

It happened around 4 p.m. near Sherman High School at the corner of N Harrison Avenue and Mulberry Street

Police say the 15-year-old rode out in front of a car and was hit. Officers say the driver did not have a stop sign.

The teenager was taken to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
