OKLAHOMA CITY (KXII) - Oklahoma teachers will have a chance to be vaccinated against COVID-19 earlier than expected.

Gov. Kevin Stitt and other state leaders announced the increased prioritization for Oklahoma teachers at a news conference on Thursday.

Teachers were originally in phase 3 of the state’s vaccine distribution plan.

Stitt said teachers will be moved to phase 2, currently scheduled to begin next month.
