TRAFFIC ALERT: Spur 503 traffic changes begin in Denison

DENISON, Texas (KXII) - Drivers should expect delays in Denison as the Texas Department of Transportation rolls out a new traffic pattern on Spur 503, expected to begin on Thursday, weather permitting.

Traffic pattern changes at Spur 503 and the northbound frontage road will begin on Friday, if needed.

The northbound frontage road from FM 691 north will narrow to one lane from November 20 to November 25 in the hours between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The lane changes are due to roadwork needed in advance of the closure and reconstruction of the frontage road.

TxDOT has announced additional traffic pattern changes in Denison:

• Westbound traffic will move back to the new frontage road.
• The Theresa Drive ramp is reopening. The temporary ramp will close to through-traffic, and traffic will only be allowed to access Trinity Lighthouse Church.
• Drivers will need to use the u-turn to reach northbound Highway 75 and should expect delays.
