Jeremy Thomas is the morning news anchor for KXII. He previously served as weekend sports anchor and reporter for the award-winning Sports 12 Team after beginning his career as a news reporter at KXII.
Jeremy was promoted to morning anchor in 2018 after serving as the station's weekend sports anchor and for two years. KXII hired Thomas as a news reporter out of college, where he covered Texoma news for one year.
Jeremy remains a contributor to the KXII Sports Team, covering high school football on Friday nights and local sports stories of interest.
Jeremy graduated in May 2015 from the University of Texas at Austin with bachelor’s degrees in journalism and history. While at college, Jeremy interned at KXAN-TV, the NBC affiliate in Austin, and for Horns247.com. He also wrote for "The Daily Texan," the student newspaper, produced content for TSTV-TV, the student TV station, and worked for K-MAC Sports, an independent online sports broadcasting network as a play-by-play announcer and producer.
When not at work, he loves meeting people, spending time with family and friends, playing and watching a variety of sports and supporting his alma mater.
He’d love to hear from you. If you would like to get in touch with Jeremy for story ideas or to say hello, email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
