Kingston High School student killed in crash on Highway 70

KINGSTON, Okla. (KXII)-- Kingston police say that the crash involved a semi and a pick-up truck, sources say both vehicles were on fire after the crash.

It happened Friday afternoon on Highway 70 in front of Gecko's restaurant.

The driver of that pick-up truck is being identified as 18-year-old Robert Privitt Jr. of Kingston.

That portion of the highway was closed for hours, as cars were directed to alternate routes.

The person driving the semi was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
