PONTOTOC COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a three-vehicle crash Tuesday outside Ada left two people dead and two others seriously injured.

It happened on State Highway 3 West about two miles west of Ada between County Road 3522 and County Road 3520 around 1 p.m.

Two women were pronounce dead at the scene. Troopers have identified them as Lynda Kaonohi, 69, and Tina Allen, 37, both of Coalgate. According to the accident report, both were passengers in the vehicle that was struck head-on by the car that crossed left of center.

The driver of the vehicle that crossed left of center, Judy Miller, 71, of Ada, and the driver of the car she struck head-on, 48-year-old Donald Disney of Coalgate, were flown to Oklahoma City hospitals where they were admitted in serious condition.

Three people in the third vehicle, including an 8-month-old child, were transported to a local hospital via ambulance. All have been treated and released.

The highway was closed in both directions for over three hours. Troopers reopened the road around 4:30 p.m.
