GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. (KXII) - Two local non-profits got help filling their pantries Thursday with nearly 2,000 pounds donated.
Ruiz Foods donated 1,987 pounds of food to Share Ministries and the Grayson County Shelter. Each organization received around 1,000 pounds of food each.
Director at Share Ministries Ron Ruppel said the donation will help them provide for the community.
“Our pantries are somewhat low, and this will fulfill the need for the upcoming prior to our donations for Thanksgiving time,” Ruppel said.
Both non-profits said the donations will be put to use immediately to help people in need.
Since 2014, Ruiz Foods has donated between 1,400 and 1,600 of food yearly to local organizations.
