3 flown after crash in Choctaw County

FORT TOWNSON, Okla. (KXII) - Three people were flown to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash in Choctaw County early Wednesday morning.

Troopers say Jeremy Pole, 45, left the roadway while driving east on U.S. Highway 70 near Fort Towson around 3:30 a.m.

Pole's SUV struck a concrete culvert, pinning him and one of his passengers, Joseph Bruton, for around 30 to 40 minutes.

Pole was flown to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition with internal injuries. Bruton was flown to the same hospital in stable condition with similar injuries.

A second passenger, Jennifer Ashalintubbi, was flown to a Plano hospital in critical condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
