3 injured in jet ski collision on Lake Texoma

DENISON, Tex. (KXII) -- Three people are hurt after a jet ski collision near Grandpappy Point on Lake Texoma on Sunday afternoon.

Game Warden Daron Blackerby says three people were riding on a jet ski together and one person on another around four on Sunday at a cove near Grandpappy Point when they collided.

Blackerby says they took off next to each other when one apparently tried to splash a friend on a different jet ski, and crashed into the one next to them.

He says a 26-year-old woman was flown to a Plano hospital with a head injury and broken femur after she was face-down in the water for a short time.

He says she's expected to survive.

Game wardens say a male teenager was taken to a Dallas hospital with a jaw injury, and the driver in his early 20's was taken to TMC with a broken clavicle and ribs.

They say the person on the other jet ski is not injured.

Blackerby says the group was at the lake with friends and after the collision happened, they worked together to get the injured people out of the water and onto the fuel dock.

He says all four people were wearing life jackets.
