MARSHALL COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - US 70 was shut down for four hours after a rollover accident Friday afternoon.
The accident occurred at 12:16 p.m. on US 70 at Tyler Rd.
Officials say a car, driven by a 17-year-old girl from Ardmore was slowing down in the eastbound lane to turn left onto Tyler Rd when a semi crashed into the back of the car.
The car was pushed into a drainage ditch, and the semi ran off the road and rolled onto its side.
The incident closed the highway down from 12:16 p.m. to 4:06 p.m.
The driver of the car was flown to OU Medical Center in stable condition.
The four passengers in the car—two 16-year-old girls, a four-year-old boy and 6-month-old girl—were treated and released at an Ardmore hospital.
The semi driver, 56-year-old Pharris T Moore of Alabama, refused medical treatment at the scene.
