Family offers $5,000 reward for information in Bogata double-homicide

On August 3rd, 2018, a mother and her 10-year-old son were inside their home in Bogata, when it caught fire. Jessica Walling died from smoke inhalation and her son Chevy Clark, was found inside the bathtub with the water running. The Bogata Police department is now investigating this as a double-homicide.

"After the autopsy was performed, it showed foul play related to her death." Jerri Clark said.

Jerri Clark, Jessica's sister says there's a person of interest who they believe to be the suspect. Bogata PD said the case is an ongoing investigation, and autopsy shows Walling was beaten and was still alive when the home was on fire. Clark said she knows who murdered her sister and nephew. That's why she and her family are offering a reward of $5,000 to anyone who will come forward with any information.

"Things like this just don't happen in Bogata." Alexis Clark said.

Alexis Clark, Jessica's niece was 16 when her cousin and aunt were killed. She and her mom just want peace for their family.

"You know it's just a reminder of what she went through that night," said Jerri Clark. "We just want justice for both of them. It's the last thing we can do. "
