Police looking for man in Denison standoff

DENISON, Tex. (KXII) Police are looking for a man who they say barricaded himself inside his home Friday night.

It happened at a house on Texas Street near 5th Avenue on the southeast side of town.

It started around 7:30 when officers found the suspect Dustin Harris outside the home, and he ran inside.

Officers say the suspect's name is Dustin Harris.

Police entered the home around 3:15 a.m. Saturday to find it empty.

They think at some point, Harris left the house from the second floor.

It started on the west side of town earlier Friday.

Police were called out to a disturbance on West Morgan Street after Harris pointed a gun at another man’s head.

Denison police called in help from SWAT from both Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and Sherman Police.

Denison police said the area was secure with over a dozen officers on the scene.
