ADA, Okla. (KXII) - The Ada School Board approved a pay raise for certified employees in the district.

Both new and experienced certified employees will receive a raise of $1,220 per year.

The raise comes from legislation recently passed to give Oklahoma educators higher pay.

Ada Superintendent Mike Anderson says with the added bonus of teacher retirement, the total comes to more than $1,300.
