SASAKWA, Okla. (KXII) - An Ada teenager is dead after crashing during a high speed pursuit with police in Seminole County early Monday morning.
It happened just after midnight on State Highway 56 near Sasakwa.
Officers initially tried to pull the car over for driving with no headlights when the driver took off, reaching speeds of 115 miles per hour.
Troopers say a 15-year-old from Ada was driving a stolen car when he ran off the roadway and hit a fence and utility pole before rolling twice.
A 17-year-old male passenger, also from Ada, was thrown from the car. He was flown to a hospital for his injuries and has been treated and released.
The 15-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
No names have been released.
