CALLISBURG, Tex. (KXII) - A Callisburg ISD coach was arrested Friday, accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old student.

An affidavit states the teen victim told a Callisburg ISD school counselor that she and a coach at the school exchanged inappropriate photos.

It said much of the relationship took place on school property.

24-year-old Colt Wooley was arrested Friday at his home for improper relationship between an educator and student.

The ISD website lists him as a health teacher and parents tell us he coaches boys baseball and basketball.

Sandee and Derek Mercer say Wooley coached one of their kids.

"He was supposed to set an example he didn't set a very good one," Sandee said.

The affidavit states the 15-year-old victim exchanged photos and texts with Wooley, which investigators found while searching her cell phone--with her mother's consent.

It says that Wooley kissed and touched the teen inappropriately.

"It makes you question who is leading your kids when you're not around," Derek said. "It hit pretty hard."

Sandee said she thinks Wooley took advantage of his position as a coach.

"That's disheartening. These kids are impressionable, they're looking for somebody to look up to," Sandee said. "That crushed it."

Wooley was booked into the Cooke County jail Friday and posted his $40,000 bond.

He faces up to 20 years in prison, if convicted.

"It's not indicative of the people here," Derek said. "We're good, we look out for each other."

The school superintendent said Wooley has been placed on administrative leave while they conduct their own investigation.

They said Monday morning, that could take up to 48 hours.
