CALERA, Okla. (KXII) - Troopers say alcohol might have been a factor in a crash early Monday morning.
Troopers say 23-year-old Hinter Burkhalter was driving south on Kirsey Rd just west of Calera around 12:40 a.m. when he failed to stop at an intersection.
The vehicle departed the roadway and struck a tree before rolling over.
Burkhalter was pinned in the vehicle for over an hour before being extricated by Durant and Calera Fire Departments.
He was flown to Medical City Plano in stable condition for arm, head and leg injuries.
Officials say alcohol and unsafe speeds may have caused the crash.
