Blanton's parents said their 2-year-old went with her paternal grandmother, Levita Gant, to Dallas County on Wednesday afternoon.

Mesquite Police issued the alert early Friday morning.

Around 10:30 a.m. Friday, Blanton's parents said they got a call from the FBI, and they said they think the girl was found at a home near Dallas.

She was apparently checked out at a hospital and is doing okay.

"It's been devastating," Amia's father, Frank Blanton said. "I don't know what it is like not having my daughter call me daddy or seeing her in the bed with us. It is real scary."
