ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) - The Ardmore Chamber of Commerce is charging up for a new visionary plan that stretches into 2025.
The Ardmore Chamber of Commerce announced Ardmore Vision 2025 — a forum to discuss and explore the possibilities for 2025.
The first visionary plan happened in 2009, and committee co-chair Daryle Voss said this plan will help determine what improvements the City of Ardmore will need.
"When we look back at another five years from now that Ardmore has continued to grow and people from across the state are envious of the good things that are going on in Ardmore,” said Voss.
Ten years ago the City of Ardmore partnered with the chamber of commerce, and the plan for Vision 2025 will include evaluating their success and creating new priorities.
"You can't build a tomorrow without recognizing what you have today,” said Tyler Young, Ardmore Chamber of Commerce vice president of operations.
Young said these priorities include quality of life, infrastructure improvements and advances in health care and education.
Three meetings are slated at the Chickasaw Community Center on 907 Locust St. in Ardmore. The dates are October 1, 15 and 29.
"We need people from all walks of life, because the decisions are made there and the structures are put in places there," said Young.
Young says the plan is still in the early stages and the chamber will have the new priority items, a timeline and action steps after the October 29 meeting.
