Ardmore Memorial Day Service

ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) - The Veterans Center hosted the service Monday morning to remember those soldiers who died serving our country and their families.

The service included a speech from the center's administrator Shawn Kirkland along with a special appearance from the Patriot Guard Riders.

The service was led by retired Rear Admiral Wesley Hull, who says he appreciates the community taking time to remember those that made the ultimate sacrifice.

"They didn't join up because they like to fight," Hull said. "They answered America's call and that's the reason we have such a strong military today. They are answering America's call and we are very appreciative of that."

As the service ended, a wreath was put up to honor the fallen soldiers.
