Arrest made in 2018 Pushmataha Co. murder

PUSHMATAHA COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - State agents have made an arrest in the murder of a 35-year-old man in Pushmataha County last year.

According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Teamon Haskell Erwin was arrested Wednesday for the murder of Richard Medlock on November 13, 2018.

Medlock was found shot multiple times at a home on East 1620 Road in Albion.

Pushmataha County Sheriff B.J. Hedgecock requested OSBI assistance, and evidence collected at the scene included five spend 9mm casings.

OSBI says a 9mm pistol was recovered in August and sent their lab for analysis, where it was determined the casings had been firing from the pistol, which had been seen in Erwin's possession by multiple witnesses.

Erwin is in the Pushmataha County Jail facing a first degree murder charge.
