Attempted kidnapping of female runner under investigation in Ardmore

ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) - Police in Ardmore are investigating an attempted kidnapping of a woman who was running at Ardmore High School Sunday morning.

This surveillance photo provided by the Ardmore Police Dept. captures the suspect's metallic blue Dodge Challenger near the crime scene Sunday morning.

According to police the victim said around 10 a.m. a black man whom she did not know wearing a grey shirt and blue shorts grabbed her from behind, pinned her arms at her sides, and pulled her back.

She told officers she began screaming and was able to break the man's grasp and run away.

Video from surrounding schools and businesses shows a metallic blue Dodge Challenger near where the attack happened.

A short, slightly built black man got out and walked across a two lane road and started running north to catch up with the woman.

Video shows the man assaulting the woman, then running back to the blue Dodge, and driving away.
