Four people, two at Lake Murray and two at Turner Falls, drowned in separate incidents in Oklahoma over the last week, as well as a 19-year-old man who drowned in Lake Texoma on Saturday.
Game wardens recovered the body of a 19-year-old Sunday afternoon who drowned in Lake Texoma Saturday. A game warden said the man was at the lake with his family when the storm came in, and he couldn't swim.
A 4-year-old from Oklahoma City died after going under water at Lake Murray Saturday afternoon. On June 30, 34-year-old Stephen Maxwell of Ardmore jumped off the swim deck of a boat and never resurfaced.
Authorities in Davis say a 27-year-old woman died last Wednesday when she slipped and didn't resurface at Turner Falls. A 39-year-old man also drowned there on Friday. They haven't been identified, but both were natives of India.
