SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII)-- The boil order notice that affected many parts of Sherman has finally been lifted.
For the past few days the city required thousands of people throughout Sherman to boil their water after storms on Wednesday caused a water main break.
Several local restaurants had to be closed down due to the boil order.
On their website, the City of Sherman said that they took the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of water.
The city provided laboratory tests to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality that show the water no longer has to be boiled.
