Bomb threat prompts evacuation of Dickson schools

DICKSON, Okla. (KXII) - Police are investigating a anonymous bomb threat made via the social media app Snapchat at Dickson Schools Monday morning.

We're told the school was "locked down" from around 7:30 a.m. until approximately 12:30 p.m., but that all students were bused to Springdale schools where most of the kids were picked up by parents.

Parents were notified via an automated call of the situation.

Dickson Police, The Carter County Sheriff's Office, Chickasaw Lighthorse Police, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Department of Homeland Security all responded.
