BONHAM, Tex. (KXII) -- Bonham police are investigating a school threat made online by a student at LH Rather Junior High School.
Police said a student posted on Instagram that he was being bullied and wanted to hurt himself or other bullies at the school.
Police searched the student's house on Sunday night, but weren't able to find guns or other weapons. They also weren't able to find any proof the student was bullied.
Bonham ISD Superintendent Dr. Marvin Beaty said said the student isn't at school, and won't be back for a while.
Beaty said in a press release the incident did not involve any other campus and, "no student or staff member was put in harm's way in any manner."
Beaty added that the investigation done by the BISD revealed some threatening Instagram posts. "We have found no evidence of Facebook posts detailing anything concerning this matter," he said. "Also an extensive investigation revealed no bullying took place at LH Rather Junior High School."
