The two men have been identified as Markaile McGee, 19, and Ramontrae Dudley, 20. Both are being held for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Dudley also faces a burglary charge.
Sherman police were assisting Bonham police to serve a warrant for the two men involved when they barricaded themselves inside a home on Utah Street in Sherman.
Authorities were on scene for more than an hour until both finally surrendered just before 10 p.m.
They were arrested without further incident.
No first responders or residents in the surrounding area were injured.
Doug Callas confronted McGee and Dudley when they tried to break into his girlfriend's car Monday night at their Bonham home.
His girlfriend told us Callas tried to stop them, saying he had had gun and told them to leave.
That's when he was shot above the right knee and in the right hip with a .40 caliber pistol, and was flown to a Plano hospital.
She told us Tuesday he is awake, but underwent surgery.
We'll have more on this developing story throughout the day on News 12.
