Boswell man killed in Choctaw Co. crash

BOSWELL, Okla. (KXII) - A 74-year-old man was killed in a one-vehicle crash outside Boswell Saturday night.

According to troopers, it happened just before 8:30 p.m. on State Highway 109 four miles south of Boswell.

Gonzalo Arredando of Boswell was a passenger in a northbound Chevy pickup when its driver's side rear tire blew out, causing the driver, 29-year-old Bernardo Rocha of Boswell, to lose control. The truck went off the road, struck an embankment, and rolled.

Arredondo was pronounced dead at the scene. Rocha was flown to a Dallas area hospital where he was admitted in good condition.

The trooper's report stated neither was wearing a seat belt.
