ACHILLE, Okla. (KXII) -- Achille's Mayor, David Northcutt, was under investigation after police responded Tuesday to a shots fired call.

The Bryan County Sheriff's office was called Tuesday by Achille Police to assist in the investigation at Northcutt's home near West Texas Street and South 2nd Avenue.

In a report, Northcutt said the argument started 2 hours earlier when he refused a sexual advance from his boyfriend, Michael Loftis, "due to Loftis' health."

Northcutt said when he shot the gun, he pointed the gun at the floor. Loftis was unarmed.

The investigation, according to the Sheriff's department, is now closed.

The Bryan County District Attorney will determine what charges, if any, will be filed.
