CARTER COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - A Durant man was in jail Wednesday night after Carter County deputies found him to be in possession of nearly a pound of meth.
Carter County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 49-year-old Paul Davidson after a traffic stop north of Springer April 4.
Deputies found .75 pounds of meth on Davidson, as well as a digital scale and needles.
"We are led to believe there was some property that was found in the vehicle that does not belong to them. We're still investigating that portion as well as a motorcycle that was in the back end of the truck that the VIN numbers aren't matching on," said Carter County Sheriff Chris Bryant.
The driver of the vehicle, Buddy Anderson, claimed he did not know about the drugs. He was arrested for driving without a license and has since bonded out.
