DURANT, Okla. (KXII) - A Bryan County man who pleaded no contest to embezzling thousands of dollars from a children's baseball league has been sentenced.
Justin Alberda was given 60 days in the county jail with credit for time served and seven-years probation. He must also pay more than $2,000 in restitution and perform 200 hours of community service.
In February 2019, police arrested Alberda for embezzling $14,000 from the Durant Kids Baseball League.
Police say Alberda spent the money on trips to Las Vegas and Branson, Mo. as well as online shopping and dining.
Officers say a board member found out Alberda took the money from May to December of 2018.
