Carson and Barnes circus comes to Denison

DENISON, Tex. (KXII) - The Carson and Barnes circus is here in Denison for one more day.

Before showtime on Wednesday, Denison firefighters helped out by giving two elephants a bath.

You can take elephants Lisa and Viola for a ride, and ride ponies.

There are also acrobats, jugglers, a petting zoo and food, along with a unicorn.

The circus is put on by the Denison Kiwanis Club, and after the circus is over they'll be able to give up to 8 high school students a scholarship from the proceeds.

A family of six we spoke with were excited to see the show.

"This will be the little guys' first time," said mom Melissa Schrodt. 'It'll be magical seeing them with their first experience with the circus."

There are two more shows Thursday at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. You can find tickets online or get them all day at Loy Lake Park.
