ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) - A former Carter County parole officer was arrested last week for sexual battery accused of kissing one of her parolees.

Dana Bean turned herself into the Carter County Jail last week and immediately posted bond.

According to a court document, the 37-year-old kissed one of her parolees, a 21-year-old man, in March of 2018.

Oklahoma Department of Corrections spokesman Matt Elliott tells us Bean was fired in October of 2018.

"It’s illegal to have a sexual relationship with an inmate. That individual according to law is guilty of rape if they do that,” Elliott said. “This is obviously a serious matter that we take extremely serious."

Bean faces up to ten years in prison if convicted.
