CARTER COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - The Carter County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a woman who was struck by a vehicle on Lodge road, East of I-35, Friday night.
Carter County Sheriff Chris Bryant says they got a call 11 p.m. that a woman had been hit by a vehicle near the Carter County Love County line.
Bryant says the woman who is believed to be in her late 50's early 60's died from her injuries.
The road was shut down for several hours while investigators were on scene.
He tells us the Oklahoma highway patrol accident reconstruction team and Love county Sheriffs office are also helping investigate what happened that night that caused the woman to be hit.
The victims name is not being released at this time.
Bryant says no arrests have been made.
