Choctaw Casino hosts their first haunted house this weekend
A werewolf peeking behind a corner is just one of several jump-scares from the mind of Noel Pearce at Nightmare on Choctaw Road.
"It's getting out of my head into reality, which I might be able to sleep after Saturday night," said Pearce.
Pearce owns an event planning company in Dallas and said he has been planning the event for three months.
"You're going to have every element. Visual, hearing, the smells, we're going to cover all of it. So be prepared," said Pearce.
The Choctaw Nation is hosting this haunted house at the Choctaw Event Center, where folks will go on a 20-minute walk around their spooky trail.
"You're going to see zombies, you're going to see dead people, you're going to see clowns," said Pearce.
Christina Leung, who manages the District at the Choctaw Casino, said folks who make it through the haunted house will get a treat, not a trick, at the end.
"Surprise at the end, everyone is going to get for their ticket they're going to get an arcade card for The District for mystery amounts," said Leung.
After months of planning, a week to set up, 40 actors to hire, just for three days of action, Pearce says his goal is to scare everyone.
"What we're doing now, that final fluff, that final getting ready, those final details to when they first walk in, to when they walk out, we want to hear screams. That makes us feel its successful when they come out and say 'we will remember this'," said Pearce.
Tickets are $5 at the door. The event will be held Thursday through Saturday nights.
