COOKE COUNTY, Tex. (KXII) - Cooke County deputies arrested a man Thursday afternoon after they said he led them on a chase.

Ronnie Luke Matthews faces charges of evading arrest with a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Deputies said they tried to pull over Matthews for driving a motorcycle with no license plate and running several stop signs.

They said that was when Matthews took off, passing other vehicles in a no-passing zone and reaching speeds greater than 100 miles per hour.

Deputies took Matthews into custody after he lost control of his motorcycle on FM 922 near Hemming Road.

Deputies found a handgun and several drugs in Matthew's possession.
