COOKE COUNTY, Tex. (KXII) - Cooke County's mobile COVID-19 testing center will close Friday.
County officials say they are closing down the testing site at North Texas Medical Center due to a declining number of weekly tests. They say the county did not see a surge in testing that the site was designed for.
County officials say the large surge tent next to the testing site will remain up.
The testing site has performed 447 tests since it opened March 24. As of May 19, 13 of those tests have come back positive. County officials say three of the patients were hospitalized outside of the county. Eleven patients have recovered.
COVID-19 testing will continue at local medical providers.
