Cooke County to host Veterans Outreach Benefits Fair

Cooke County Veteran Services Officer Tim Cortes has announced that Cooke County will host a Veterans Outreach Benefits Fair from 11:00 to 2:00 on 20 January 2018.

The benefits fair is going to be at VFW Post 1922 located at 3332 North Grand Ave in Gainesville, Texas

Dozens of North Texas Veteran Support Agencies will be present to answer ALL of your Veteran questions, and assist you with ALL of your veteran needs. The event should be a huge success, and will be beneficial to all Veterans whom attend.

Some of the agencies that will be present to field veterans questions are the Sam Rayburn Memorial VA Hospital, The Clyde W. Cosper State Veterans Home, The Texas Veterans Commission, Employment Services, The Wounded Warrior Project, The Texas Council of Government, The American Red Cross, Workforce Solutions of Texoma, The Gainesville Texas Housing Authority, The Military Peer Network of Texoma, Meals on Wheels, VISTO, Al-Anon, the Salvation Army, WIC, VA loan representatives, Medical and Mental Health Representatives, Abigail’s Arms, and that’s just to name a few. All agencies attending will have individual representatives present to answer any questions or address needs and concerns that veterans may have.

This is a unique opportunity is for all veterans to come and meet and greet in one place with dozens of North Texas Veteran Support Agencies that want to assist you, and it will all be happening on the same day. You’re really not going to want to miss out on this one.

Whether serving in Combat or in Peacetime, the surviving spouse of a veteran, or if you are a military dependent, there will be numerous North Texas Agencies eager to assist you with your needs.

There is also going to be numerous Veterans Service Officers present to assist you with request for military records, claims for disability compensation, dependent pensions, medical records review, Homebound, or Veterans that may be in need of aid and assistance in the home.

There is No charge to attend this event, and free hot dogs and beverages will be available while supplies last.
