Next week, the Denison PD is opening its doors to teach the public what to do in an active shooter situation.
"There's been so much that's been going on in our nation for the past several years," Lt. Mike Eppler said. "We just want it to be an informational thing for people to know if they do get caught in a situation like this, what do we do what are our options that we can do."
The class will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 15 in the Community Room of the Denison Police Department headquarters.
Anyone wanting to attend is asked to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Twenty spots are available for the hour-long session.
