SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) - Police have arrested the man accused of shooting another man in the head at a Denison apartment complex earlier this week.

Denison Police Lt. Mike Eppler said during a traffic stop Thursday Sherman Police arrested 34-year-old Christopher Bennett, who police had identified as suspect in the Tuesday shooting, on two outstanding unrelated warrants.

Eppler said upon questioning by Denison detectives Bennett confessed to the shooting Tuesday at the Circle Apartments on South Austin Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

The victim wasn't seriously injured in the shooting. A bullet from the .38 caliber pistol grazed his head.

Bennett is being held in the Grayson County Jail on $100,000 bond.

The Sherman Police Department and Grayson County Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation, Eppler said.
