DENISON, Tex. (KXII) - Denison's brand new entertainment center is officially open for business.

HeyDay's brand new facility in Denison comes with several entertainment options, starting with an arcade, laser tag, putt-putt, and bowling.

"We hadn't had anything like this since I was in high school back in the 80s, I'm just recapturing my childhood, it's great," said Todd Hunkapiller.

Hundreds of people stood out in the cold Friday morning, waiting for their chance to be one of the first people to have fun with the new attractions.

One of those people is seven-year-old Landry Johnson, who was the very first bowler on the day.

"I'm really excited because some people don't get to be the first person to do this," said Landry.

The 43,000 square foot facility located in the Gateway Village off Highway 75 in Denison announced they would come to the area in the fall of 2017.

Construction began the following spring, and after over a year of building, and 60 days of rain delays later, folks are finally taking in everything the $35 million entertainment center has to offer.

"We're going to do some bowling, and we're going to go in and eat some pizza, check out the facilities inside," said George Butler.

"Shoot some pool, we're going to try it all," said Hunkapiller.

HeyDay is also offering "flash discounts" on all-you-can-play wristbands throughout their opening weekend.
