OHP asks for public's help in semi crash caused by debris

SPRINGER, Okla. (KXII) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is asking for the public's help investigating a semi crash Tuesday afternoon in Carter County that left a man seriously hurt.

It happened around 4:15 p.m. on State Highway 53 roughly four miles west of Interstate 35 near Springer.

An accident report states unknown debris came through the windshield, striking the driver, identified as Eddy Reese, 52, of Waurika.

Reese had to be flown by helicopter from the scene in critical condition with a large laceration on his head.

OHP says the debris was either on the roadway or came from another vehicle.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is looking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision and asks that they call Troop F Headquarters at 580-223-8800.
