Identity of Sulphur drowning victim released

Park rangers at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area have identified the victim that drowned Saturday as 28-year-old Daniel Walker of Ada, Oklahoma.

They say Walker was swimming to get a ball out of the lake near the Buckhorn Pavilion when he drowned Saturday evening.

They tell us Walker's body was found around 9:30 Sunday morning.


Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed a drowning was reported at the Buckhorn Pavilion inside the Chickasaw National Recreation Area around 7:30 Saturday night.

Troopers said their dive team will be back out at the lake Sunday morning to try and make a recovery.
