Durant home a total loss after fire

DURANT, Okla. (KXII) -- Durant's fire marshal is investigating a house fire Wednesday morning in Durant that is being called a total loss.

The homeowners told fire crews that the fire started around 2:00 at the back of their home on the 100 block of West Georgia Street.

It took crews about five minutes to put the flames out.

The home is being considered a total loss and the fire marshal says the fire not being considered suspicious at this time.

No one was hurt.

The Red Cross has been called to help the family.

The Fire Marshal's Office in Durant will continue to investigate later today.
