BRYAN COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) – Police arrested a former Southeastern Oklahoma State University student accused of first-degree rape.
Court documents state Jason Anthony Potts, 19, met and began communicating with the 16-year-old girl over snapchat.
The victim told investigators she had consensual sex with him at his dorm in September, but a few days later he picked her up and took her to an apartment in Calera where he raped her.
Police arrested Potts Wednesday.
A university spokesman said Potts is no longer a student at SOSU.
If convicted, Potts faces anywhere from five years to life in prison.
